He was also the only teacher to issue me with a an &#8220;order mark&#8221; (naughty point).<br \/>\nIn that first lesson he berated a kid for something or other and got the classic protestation of<br \/>\n&#8220;Sir! That&#8217;s not fair!&#8221;<br \/>\nHis answer stayed with me until this day. In a loud, scary, voice he replied:<br \/>\n&#8220;LIFE AIN&#8217;T FAIR!&#8221;<br \/>\nArgument over.
